Almost Summer!

Hi friends,

It’s been a full and blessed season for me. Life has been busy in the best ways—beautiful, healthy grandchildren, a wonderful wife, and amazing kids. I honestly can’t ask for more. Sometimes, I feel overwhelmed by God’s goodness, even wondering, “Why me?” I know I’ve done nothing to earn such blessings, and yet, He gives them freely.

At the same time, my heart is heavy for those who are walking through grief and hardship. There’s one family in particular who could really use prayer right now. I won’t share details, but God knows every name, every tear. Please join me in lifting them up.

Even in the busyness, I found time this past week to create three new videos and revisit an older one that I’ve given fresh life to with a new narration. The video is called “His Great Agony.” Originally voiced with a British AI accent (because everything sounds more profound with an accent, right?), I’ve now recorded the narration myself—California accent and all!

His Great Agony was created for Good Friday or Maundy Thursday, focusing on Jesus’ time in the Garden of Gethsemane. It’s a deeply personal reflection on the anguish He endured, and a reminder that in our own suffering—whether personal or shared—Christ is near. He knows. He’s been there. And He walks with us through it all.

So, without further ado, here is His Great Agony, narrated by yours truly:

His Great Agony (new Narr.)

His Great Agony
Step into the garden of Gethsemane and witness the deep anguish and unwavering love of Jesus on the night before the cross. This powerful video captures intimate moments of Christ’s prayer and surrender, revealing the true strength found in sacrifice. As darkness loomed, He chose obedience, love, and the path of suffering—for us. Perfect for Good Friday or Maundy Thursday, this reflection invites us to remember His agony, respond to His love, and live as those set free by His grace.

Lately, I’ve found myself thinking a lot about worry—not the kind that hits in crisis, but the quiet, daily kind that sneaks in through headlines, health concerns, finances, or the future. It can take hold before we even realize it, quietly crowding out peace.

In those moments, I often catch myself trying to “figure it out” before I pray—like maybe I’ll save God a little time if I solve it first. But that’s not trust. That’s control dressed up as responsibility. And it never leads to peace.

This past week, I put together a new video called Why Worry—a short devotional film that speaks to the anxious places in all of us. It’s a reminder that worry is not a burden we were ever meant to carry, and that peace begins not in having all the answers, but in surrender.

I hope this video meets you in a quiet moment. I hope it speaks to your heart like it did to mine as I created it.

Here is Why Worry:

Why Worry

Why Worry – A Short Devotional Film
Worry creeps in quietly, convincing us we’re in control—until we’re overwhelmed by burdens we were never meant to carry. Why Worry is a quiet, reflective video that gently challenges our anxious hearts and invites us back to trust. Through thoughtful visuals and Scripture-rooted narration, this short devotional explores how anxiety distances us from God—and how surrender brings us peace.
Watch Why Worry and rediscover the simple, freeing truth: He’s already carrying what you were never meant to hold.

As the days stretch longer and the evenings grow softer, I’ve been reflecting on what makes summer feel so special. It’s more than sunshine and cookouts—it’s the moments of connection. The unhurried conversations on porches. The neighbors who wave, the laughter echoing down the street, the simple joy of being known.

That sense of belonging is something we all long for—and something the church is uniquely called to offer. So, I created a light-hearted summer welcome video that celebrates community, warmth, and the open invitation of the Gospel.

It’s called, “A Summer to Belong.” And it’s not just about a season—it’s about an open door, a place to be loved, and a reminder that no matter who you are or where you’ve been: God loves you. You’re welcome here.

A Summer to Belong – Welcome Video
From porch lights and fireflies to waving neighbors and backyard BBQs, A Summer to Belong captures the warmth, joy, and connection of the season. This light-hearted opener is a celebration of community, slow moments that matter, and the simple truth that in God’s family—there’s always a place for you.
God loves you. You’re welcome here.

Sometimes an idea comes to you so quickly, so clearly, that you just can’t shake it. That’s how To Completion began. The image of a potter shaping clay dropped into my heart, and I knew I had to follow it. In just a few days, the video took shape—much like the message it carries: that God is faithful to finish the good work He starts in us.

This one’s for anyone feeling unfinished, uncertain, or worn out in the waiting. Be encouraged—His hands are still on you. He’s not done yet.

Here is To Completion:

To Completion

To Completion
Like a master potter shaping clay with steady hands, God is faithfully molding each of us—patiently, intentionally, and with purpose. To Completion is a visual reflection on divine craftsmanship, reminding us that the work God begins, He will finish. Set against the imagery of a potter’s wheel, this piece invites viewers to rest not in their own strength, but in the unwavering hands of the One who forms beauty out of dust and brings every life to its intended shape.
Perfect as a service opener, devotional accompaniment, or encouragement for those in seasons of doubt or waiting, To Completion speaks to the quiet assurance that we are never unfinished in God’s eyes.
