Crash!!

Well, hello there. I’m not under any delusion that you’ve been wondering where I’ve been—but I’ll fill you in anyway.

It’s been 15 days since my last post. While I’ve gone longer before, I’ve been trying to stay more consistent, so this stretch felt long.

Here’s what happened: on Tuesday, June 3, I was rendering some video effects—very graphics-card-intensive stuff. Honestly, I didn’t need to do it; I just wanted to see if I could, to sharpen my skills. I started the process and stepped outside for a bit. When I came back, the computer screen was black, and the whole machine was unresponsive. I’m pretty sure the motherboard cooked itself.

Thankfully, the files on both the hard drive (HDD) and solid-state drive (SSD) were safe. I ended up getting a new computer—one that’s easier to upgrade and clean, which is a win in the long run. I was able to pop the SSD right into the new machine, but there wasn’t a slot for the HDD. Since most of my files were stored there, I used an old HDD enclosure, plugged it into the computer, moved everything to an external SSD, and then copied the essential files over.

Bit by bit, things are back to normal—and I’m making videos again! I’ve got three new ones to share with you, starting with a Father’s Day opener.

There’s something powerful about pausing to reflect on the kind of Father God truly is. With all the brokenness and inconsistency, we experience in earthly relationships, it can be hard to imagine a Father who is always faithful, always present, and always loving. That’s exactly why we created “Our Perfect Father”—a simple, moving tribute to the character of God as Father. Each line is anchored in Scripture and built to stir the heart, reminding us that no matter what kind of earthly father we’ve had, we can rest in the truth that God is everything we need and more. I hope this video encourages you and helps set the tone for a meaningful Father’s Day celebration at your church.

Our Perfect Father

A moving visual tribute to God as Father—faithful, present, and unchanging. Built on Scripture and created to encourage, “Our Perfect Father” is ideal for Father’s Day services or any moment of worship that celebrates the perfect love of God.)

I had completely forgotten that Father’s Day was just around the corner—so Our Perfect Father was almost never created! I’m grateful it came together in time because it ended up being one of my favorites to date.

The next video I’m sharing is something a little different. Our Father in Heaven is a reimagining of an older project. This time around, I revisited the voice-over, recording it in my own voice to give it a more personal and reflective tone. I also swapped out the music for a new track that I think better supports the message. The core of the piece remains the same: a prayerful meditation on the words Jesus gave us to pray—words that remind us of the holiness, provision, and presence of our Father in heaven.

I hope it blesses you and gives your heart space to reflect as you prepare for this Father’s Day.

Our Father in Heaven

A heartfelt meditation on what it truly means to call God “Father.” Our Father in Heaven combines warm, everyday moments between dads and their children with a powerful reminder of the love, authority, and protection we find in our Heavenly Father. Ideal for Father’s Day or any moment of reflection on God’s fatherly care.

The world offers plenty of reasons to be discouraged—but we serve a God who gives us even more reasons to rejoice. Focus on the Positives is a short, reflective video centered on Psalm 126:3: “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad.” It’s easy to dwell on pain, setbacks, past failures, or dead computers, but God’s faithfulness deserves more space in our hearts and conversations.

This piece is a gentle but timely reminder to recalibrate our perspective—not to deny our struggles, but to see them in light of the goodness of God. Set against a calming loop of a flowing river and underscored by quiet narration and subtitled Scripture-based encouragement, this video invites us to remember, reflect, and rejoice in the truth: God has brought us through, and He’s not done blessing us yet.

Focus on the Positives

A quiet and encouraging reflection on Psalm 126:3, Focus on the Positives reminds us to turn our attention away from hardship and toward the faithfulness of God. With gentle narration, subtle subtitles, and the peaceful image of a flowing river, this video is perfect for moments of reflection, devotionals, or transitions in worship services.
