Seasons change. God doesn’t.

“The only constant in life is change.” Heraclitus
Ecclesiastes 3:1 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven:”
Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Who really likes change?
A pastor friend of mine has often said, “The only one who likes change is a baby with a soiled diaper.” Honestly, I’m not so sure about that either — I’ve seen children fight a diaper change.
Today, August 1, 2025, brings a big change for our family. My wife’s sister and her husband sold their home and are moving into a new one. People move all the time, right? So why does this feel different?
Take a look at the photo I included. That has been their backyard — for decades.
This move is emotional. Hard. Most change is. We change our minds, our direction, even our addresses. But through it all, there’s one steady truth: God never changes.
When we’ve had to make tough decisions, He’s been right there.
When life forced change on us, He saw it coming long before we did.
Even the painful changes — He allowed them. He could have stopped them, but for reasons we may not fully understand, He chose not to.
Because God is Omnipresent, we can lean on Him when change feels heavy.
Because He is Omniscient, He knows what’s ahead and is already there waiting for us.
Because He is Omnipotent, He can prevent hardships — and if He allows them, it’s for a reason, maybe to help us grow.
And think about this: how many times has He quietly protected us from situations we never even knew about?
Bottom line: God knows what’s best. We can trust Him through it.
On to the videos!
In a world full of shifting ideas about who God is, it’s easy to focus on one part of His nature while forgetting another. Some picture Jesus as warm and approachable but see the Father as distant, or overlook the Spirit’s work altogether. This short video reminds us that God—Father, Son, and Spirit—never work separately but are united in love, purpose, and the work of shaping our lives.
The Trinity
Life can feel like smooth sailing—until the storms come. But it’s often in those storms that we finally see what’s been there all along: the greatness and faithfulness of God. This short video, set against watercolor imagery of old sailing ships, explores how God’s glory often shines brightest in our hardships, when our own strength fails and His power becomes clear.
God’s Glory
We often try to live today on yesterday’s strength, holding on to past victories or yesterday’s grace as if it can carry us forward. But God designed His grace to meet us in this day—right now. This short text-based video reminds us that strength comes only from Jesus, moment by moment, always enough for today but never meant to stockpile for tomorrow.
